The subtle lines of this piece blur purposefully and gracefully the boundaries between the virtual and the real. This artfully rendered sculpture in the shape of a bottle gourd interweaves imagery associated with Taic- hung’s Qingshui and Huludun districts. In addition to the aesthetically appealing outline of bottle gourds, the splashes of blue color across this sculpture allude to the crystal-clear waters that regularly nourish the Fengyuan area. The dynamic curves and energetic interplay between these splashes further celebrate the role of “water” as a symbol of virtue at Nan Yang Elementary.
